Interesting Facts
• Agave ranges from small collector rosettes to enormous landscape specimens.
• Thick leaves may be green, blue, gray, striped, or heavily armed with marginal teeth and terminal spines.
• Many species grow slowly into striking, sculptural plants.
• Mature plants can produce enormous towering flower stalks, sometimes many times taller than the rosette.
• Many agaves are monocarpic, meaning an individual rosette flowers once after years—or even decades—of growth and then dies. Some species produce offsets that continue the colony.
• Certain identified Agave species have long histories of traditional food, fiber, beverage, and ethnobotanical use throughout the Americas.
• Seed-grown plants can vary considerably in size, coloration, leaf shape, spination, and growth habit.
Please Note
This is a mixed Agave species seed assortment. Species, quantities, mature size, coloration, leaf shape, spination, cold tolerance, and flowering characteristics may vary. Specific species and germination results are not guaranteed.
